THE SHOT

I received a message from a friend asking about my thoughts on the Covid vaccine.

These are my thoughts for me. They are not intended to make you get a shot or not get a shot.

I got the shot at the first opportunity. I also take tetanus shots so I can work Disaster Relief as well as the flu shot and other vaccines. I try to keep my shot records up to date. It is nothing new. I have been doing it all my life. My Dad was in the Army and we traveled and lived in a variety of places including Papua New Guinea. You did not want to catch some of the stuff going around there.

No, I don’t believe they put a chip in me. But if they did so what? Can it give them more info than they get off my phone? Would it be the “Mark of the Beast”? I don’t think that fits the Biblical descriptions.

I believe God created the world. He loved the world. Man, through his sin, made the world less than God intended. Jesus came to establish the “Kingdom of God” and return the world to the command of the King. To ultimately restore it to what God intended.

Jesus then invites his Followers to join him in what he is doing in the world.

Jesus healed. Sometimes he used spit and mud rubbed on a person to bring healing.

On another occasion, he reminded a boys Mom to make him a lunch of fish and bread before he started on an outing to see Jesus. Jesus used a the boy’s fish and bread to feed the hungry. The Bible recommends oil and prayer as a healing agent.

Could it be that he has given men the knowledge to create a shot to bring healing?

If you have concerns about adverse reactions, I could not comment on that. I rely on Medical experts for that, not Facebook. To me, the negatives of the shot did not outweigh the possibility of Covid.

If you have reservations it’s your call. I elected to get the shot to protect myself, my family and people I come in contact with. I have an obligation as a citizen to not put others at risk of sickness and disease. As a Follower of Jesus I have a command from Jesus, to love others and act for their good.

I got the shot.
