SPIRITUAL FIGHTING

                     Spiritual Fighting

My verse for the day was: “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/2co.10.3-4.NIV

Yet Revelation reminds us we are in a battle. Revelation 12 tells us that Satan, The Dragon, started a war in Heaven. He was defeated and exiled to Earth where he continues to wage war against God’s people.

But it also tells us of some who won that battle. “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Revelation 12:11 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/rev.12.11.NIV

This tells us that they triumphed and how they triumphed. It was not by human means. But by The Blood of the Lamb The word of their testimony.  And by not fearing man, Devil or death.

I would read that we fight Satan by

A. Focusing on Jesus by following The Lamb (Crucified Jesus — working from weakness and servant-hood). He, by his death on the Cross, has already defeated the powers of Darkness, even death.

B. Continuing to proclaim the Gospel, especially as it has affected our lives..

C. Remembering that you are a part of the Eternal Kingdom of God first. And facing up and challenging Evil In whatever form it takes in any other kingdom, even the kingdom of religion, with His Truth.

D.  “Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.” Revelation 12:17 NIV.

Faithful living and Faithful proclamation about Jesus. Not the Church, not religion, not morality, but JESUS.

Don’t focus on those you perceive to be followers of the enemy.  Rather, without fear proclaim the Crucified Christ, and follow his path of service, even to enemies.  Let his presence be seen in your life!  Focus on the Lamb!

If you use other tools to battle, then you are using the tools of the enemy. If you are doing that, which side are you really on?

The Lamb is the Biblical way to battle and win.
