Jesus came announcing the KINGDOM of God.
Do a Bible search and see how many times Jesus taught about the Kingdom. It seems it was a major topic for him. The KJV of the Gospels uses the term Kingdom 128 times. The term Church is used only three times in the Gospels, all by Jesus in two verses, all in the book of Matthew.
I hate to admit it, but most of my sermons focused on the Church or being saved to go to heaven, not the Kingdom in the here and now.
Those of us who claim to Follow Jesus and use the New Testament as our guide may need to rethink the topics of Kingdom and church and Salvation and get on the same page as Jesus,
It may change your perspective.
